“Jane” Roe of Roe vs. Wade

Posted by

Here’s a sensitive and compelling video from Norma McCorvey, the Jane Roe of Roe vs. Wade, the landmark abortion case in the United States. This is a difficult and sensitive issue that requires personal witness like this that changes people’s hearts. The best strategy for promoting a respect for life is to show the consistent ethic of Cardinal Bernadin’s “Seamless Garment” approach.

  1. I don’t think Norma McCorvey endorses the “Seamless Garment” Approach to respect for life. Bernardin’s flawed quality of life theory has provided convenient cover for countless pro abortion politicians to falsely claim they’re pro life and has enabled Catholic University academics to support abortion.

Nobody is going to seriously consider the human life as sacred when society at large considers the 52,000,000 million children intentionally murdered since Roe v Wade as a social good. It’s preposterous. Additionally, the Catholic Church does not, and has never put other social justice issues on par with the intrinsic evil of aborion. It’s in the Catechism for anyone to see. Bernardin one cardinal amoung many, his opinions were not binding on any Catholic: he was simply wrong in this matter.
